Pick your tool
- Lovable: keeps the form off Supabase, Edge Functions and Resend.
- Bolt: a form that sends without a database table or server function.
- v0: a "use client" component instead of a Server Action.
- Cursor: adds the form to your existing code with no new API route.
- Claude Code: a small, reviewable change in your repository.
- Windsurf: a Cascade prompt plus rules that keep later edits correct.
- Replit: a frontend-only form, no Express route or nodemailer.
Why a short prompt is not enough
Ask any AI builder for "a contact form that emails me" and you often get one of two results. Either the form looks finished but sends nothing, or the tool writes a small backend with an email service, secret keys and a database. The first fails silently. The second works until a key expires or a domain check fails.
Each prompt here gives the tool an exact spec instead. The form posts to Formgong, a hosted form backend. Formgong stores each message, filters spam and sends it to your email and, if you like, to Telegram. The prompts were checked against the Formgong API and the same spec our dashboard uses, so field names and success handling match what the server expects.
How to use a prompt
- Create a free form on the Formgong homepage and copy its access key (it starts with fk_).
- Open the page for your tool and copy the prompt.
- Replace fk_your_access_key with your key. Signed in? Use the button under the prompt to insert one of your keys.
- Paste the prompt into the tool and let it build the form.
- Publish, send a test message, and run the form checker on the live page.
Prompt, MCP server or rules file?
A prompt is the fastest way to add one form. If your tool supports MCP, you can connect the Formgong MCP server so the agent looks up your real key and gets ready code itself. For a project you keep working on, add a rules file such as AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md. The agent then follows the same form rules every time it touches the code. You can use all three together.
Questions
Do these prompts work on the free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 300 submissions a month, email and Telegram notifications. The prompts do not need any paid feature.
Are the prompts different from the setup guides in the docs?
The prompts are the copy-paste part, with notes on what each tool tends to get wrong. The setup guides in the docs walk through the whole setup step by step. Use whichever you need.
Which language should the prompt be in?
Any language the tool understands. Each page shows the prompt in the page language. The field names and the endpoint stay the same in every language.
What if the tool ignores part of the prompt?
Paste the prompt again and point to the part it missed, for example "keep the botcheck field" or "remove the API route". Then run the form checker on the published page.
