Comparison

Formgong alternatives, from Formgong

We build Formgong, and this page lists the services you would consider instead, with their genuine strengths. It exists because the comparison happens anyway, and we would rather you make it with accurate facts than with whichever vendor shouts loudest. Each listing comes from that service's own public pages, checked on the date below.

Short answer: The serious Formgong alternatives for form handling are Web3Forms (the closest like-for-like, one access key), Formspree (the largest plugin catalogue and team features), Basin (advanced spam tooling on higher tiers), Forminit (SDKs, EU hosting on AWS), FormSubmit (free with no account) and Netlify Forms (if the site is on Netlify). For product reviews, Judge.me on Shopify and Customer Reviews for WooCommerce on WordPress. Formgong's own case is breadth on the free plan: 1,000 submissions a month, Telegram, an inbox, EU storage, and reviews plus an AI help chat in the same account.

When another tool genuinely serves you better

  • You want a form builder, not a backend. We receive forms you build; we do not host a drag-and-drop editor with logic jumps. Tally and Typeform are that product.
  • You need plugins we do not have. Formspree's catalogue (CRMs, Stripe, newsletters) is wider than our webhooks, Sheets, email and Telegram.
  • Your stack is the decider. On Netlify hosting, Netlify Forms needs no second service; deep in Shopify reviews, Judge.me's app is the incumbent for good reasons.
  • You want zero accounts. FormSubmit relays email with no registration at all; we need an account to give you an inbox.

If you came for the reviews product

For product reviews the alternatives are different: Judge.me (Shopify; it sunset WooCommerce and other non-Shopify platforms on 31 October 2025), Customer Reviews for WooCommerce, which keeps reviews in your own WordPress database, Loox and Yotpo on the visual and enterprise ends. Our comparisons are honest about each: Judge.me, Yotpo, Loox. Formgong Reviews' own case: works on any site with one script tag, imports from Judge.me, Yotpo, Loox and Shopify exports, photo and video reviews on Free, and AI summaries with automatic translation on paid plans. One thing none of those alternatives offer: voice reviews, where a customer records up to two minutes, the speech is transcribed server-side (Whisper on Cloudflare Workers AI, language detected automatically), and a recorded review always waits for your approval before anything shows.

The case for staying, stated once

Most alternatives beat us somewhere, and the table above says where. What none of them bundles: a free plan with 1,000 submissions a month, Telegram and email delivery with a real inbox, EU-jurisdiction storage, and the same account covering product reviews and an AI help chat trained on your pages. Teams that switch away for one missing feature tell us the second subscription and second dashboard are what brings them back; that is the honest trade.

Leaving Formgong, without drama

Your data is yours: every form's submissions export to CSV from the dashboard, reviews export too, and deleting the account removes the stored data per the privacy policy. A form pointed at a new backend is a one-line action change. If something specific drove you off, support@formgong.com reads every message; missing features have shipped from exactly such emails.

Questions

What is the best Formgong alternative?

For like-for-like form handling, Web3Forms: one access key, 250 free submissions a month. For plugins and team features, Formspree. For EU hosting with SDKs, Forminit. For reviews, Judge.me on Shopify or Customer Reviews for WooCommerce on WordPress. Which is best depends on which single feature you need most.

Is there a free alternative to Formgong?

Yes: Web3Forms (250 a month), FormSubmit (no account at all), Netlify Forms on Netlify hosting, and Tally if you want a builder. Formgong's free plan remains the largest bundle: 1,000 submissions, Telegram, inbox, EU storage, reviews and help chat in one account.

Can I export my data if I leave Formgong?

Yes. Submissions export to CSV per form, reviews export as well, and account deletion removes stored data as described in the privacy policy. We would rather lose you cleanly than hold data hostage.

Why does Formgong publish an alternatives page about itself?

Because the comparison happens with or without us, and the facts age fast. This page keeps them current from each vendor's own pages, including the cases where another tool is the better pick.
