Testimonial.to and Formgong side by side
Each Testimonial.to cell comes from Testimonial.to's own pages, read on 31 October 2026. The table has no prices; plans change, and the linked pages carry them.
| Testimonial.to | Formgong | |
|---|---|---|
| What it collects | Text and video testimonials, plus posts imported from X and LinkedIn | Star-rated reviews with text, photos and a video, for each product or for the whole site |
| Free plan | 10 text and 2 video testimonials in total; later ones need a paid plan to view | Yes: unlimited review sites and reviews, photo and video reviews, import and export |
| Video on the free plan | 2 in total, up to 2 minutes each | Yes, on Free: up to 5 photos and 1 video (50 MB) per review |
| Imports on the free plan | X and LinkedIn; other social and review sites from the first paid plan | Free: files from Judge.me, Yotpo, Loox, Shopify Product Reviews, WooCommerce or Etsy, or your own CSV |
| Email requests | Automated invitations from the Ultimate plan | On every plan: WooCommerce through our plugin, any other shop through our API, Zapier, Make or n8n, or a CSV of past orders. Shopify and Wix orders not directly yet. Free sends up to 20 a day per site |
| Google rich snippets | From the Ultimate plan | Our WordPress plugin adds the rating to WooCommerce's product markup. The plain widget adds none, because Google ignores a business's reviews of itself |
| Branding on the free plan | Shown; white-label widgets are not on Free | A small Formgong link under the widget; none on Pro |
| Where it runs | Any site through a 3-line embed, Shopify and WordPress included | Any site where you can paste HTML, and a WordPress plugin for WooCommerce. Our Shopify and Wix apps are waiting for their store listings |
When to stay with Testimonial.to
- Video testimonials are the point. Testimonial.to collects video testimonials, puts them on a Wall of Love page, and its top plan adds an AI video editor. Formgong takes one video per review as an upload, with no editing.
- Your praise lives on X and LinkedIn. The free plan imports unlimited posts from both. Formgong imports export files from review apps and nothing from social networks.
- You sell a service, not products. Testimonials with a name, a title and a company read well for coaches, agencies and SaaS. A star rating per product matters less there.
- You need SOC 2 Type II. Testimonial.to states it. Formgong does not claim it.
For a service business that wants faces and voices on its home page, Testimonial.to is built for exactly that.
Where Formgong fits, and what it does not do
- Reviews per product. Each product page shows its own reviews and average through one
data-productattribute, with stars in product lists and a site-wide rating badge. - A free plan without a count. Formgong does not count reviews or review sites, and every review you collect stays readable in your dashboard.
- Review emails after an order, free. A few days after an order, Formgong emails the buyer one page to review everything they bought, with one reminder, and those reviews are marked Verified buyer. A WooCommerce store sends its orders through our plugin; any other shop, or Zapier, Make or n8n, sends them to our API, and a CSV covers orders from the last 90 days. Shopify and Wix orders cannot be sent directly yet.
- No picking the best ones. Testimonial.to's Google import can take only reviews above a chosen star rating. Formgong has no switch to show only 4 and 5 stars, and hiding any review asks for a reason.
What Formgong does not do: no imports from X or LinkedIn, no video editing, no case studies and no NPS surveys inside Reviews.
Until 31 December 2026: an account that connects reviews gets every paid reviews feature free for 6 months: the AI summary, mood tags, translation and AI moderation. Your reviews and settings stay when the 6 months end.
How to move your reviews from Testimonial.to
Export from Testimonial.to
Testimonial.to lets you download videos as MP4 files. We have not checked what its text export contains. Testimonials have no star rating, and a Formgong CSV needs one, so most stores start fresh: keep your Wall of Love for testimonials and collect product reviews with Formgong from now on.
Then import it into Formgong
- Create a free Formgong account, open Reviews and add your site.
- Open the site's Import / Export tab, choose the file, pick the language of the reviews and press Import. A CSV of your own needs a rating from 1 to 5 and a date; text, name, product, title and reply are optional. Download the CSV template gives the column order.
- Everything arrives pending, with its original date. Press Publish … imported reviews, or Undo this import.
- Put the widget on your pages (code below). Reviews show on the page whose
data-productmatches their product.
One file can hold 5 MB and 5,000 rows, and you can run 20 imports a day, on every plan. Photos, videos and reviewer emails do not come across.
<!-- Shopify: a Custom Liquid section on the product template -->
<div data-formgong-reviews="fk_your_access_key" data-product="{{ product.handle }}"></div>
<script src="https://formgong.com/reviews.js" defer></script>
<!-- Any other site: set data-product to the product handle from your export -->
<div data-formgong-reviews="fk_your_access_key" data-product="blue-teapot"></div>
<script src="https://formgong.com/reviews.js" defer></script>What Formgong Reviews includes for free
- Unlimited review sites and reviews. Text, photo, video and voice reviews on Free.
- A widget with no view limit. The review widget, carousel, badge and stars in product lists load as often as your pages do.
- Review emails in your store's name. Sent after each order with your logo and colours, replies to you, no email service to set up; buyers can rate inside Gmail without leaving the email, and get one reminder (how it works).
- Bring your old reviews. Import from Judge.me, Yotpo, Loox, Shopify Product Reviews, WooCommerce, Etsy or a CSV.
- You decide what shows. Approve each review or choose a publishing mode, reply in public or in private, and let shoppers ask the author a question.
- Google. A Merchant Center review feed, and product rating markup through the WordPress plugin.
- Reviews from your form. People who filled in your contact form can get a review request automatically.
- One account for the rest. Contact forms with Telegram and Google Sheets, an AI help chat, and free website templates.

Questions
What happens when the free Testimonial.to plan is full?
Its pricing page says customers can keep submitting after the 10 text and 2 video testimonials, but you need to upgrade to see the ones beyond that count.
Is there a free Testimonial.to alternative?
For star-rated product reviews, yes: Formgong Reviews is free with no limit on reviews, photo and video reviews, and review emails after an order. For video testimonials with editing, Testimonial.to's paid plans do more.
Can Formgong import my testimonials from X or LinkedIn?
No. Formgong imports export files from Judge.me, Yotpo, Loox, Shopify Product Reviews, WooCommerce and Etsy, or your own CSV with a rating and a date.
Does Formgong add Google rich snippets?
On WooCommerce, our WordPress plugin adds the rating to the product markup WooCommerce already prints. The plain widget adds none, because Google does not show stars for a business's reviews of itself.
