Endorsal alternative: what you gain and what you give up

Endorsal and Formgong side by side

Each Endorsal cell comes from Endorsal's own pages, read on 31 October 2026. The table has no prices; plans change, and the linked pages carry them.

When to stay with Endorsal

• Your store is on Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or BigCommerce and you want requests without code. Endorsal collects product reviews when orders are placed on all of them. Formgong takes WooCommerce orders through its plugin; other shops need our API, Zapier, Make or n8n, and Shopify and Wix orders cannot be sent directly yet.
• Your reviews are on Google, Facebook, Yelp or Tripadvisor. Endorsal syncs them. Formgong imports export files from review apps only.
• You want SMS requests, pop-ups and social sharing. Endorsal has all three. Formgong only shows reviews on your pages.

For a store on a hosted platform that wants requests set up in a few clicks, Endorsal saves work.

Where Formgong fits, and what it does not do

• A free plan that is plainly free. Formgong Reviews is free with no limit on reviews or review sites, and photo and video reviews are on Free.
• More than one site. Endorsal's Starter plan covers one domain. Formgong lets you add as many review sites as you like on every plan.
• Review emails after an order, free. A few days after an order, Formgong emails the buyer one page to review everything they bought, with one reminder, and those reviews are marked Verified buyer. A WooCommerce store sends its orders through our plugin; any other shop, or Zapier, Make or n8n, sends them to our API, and a CSV covers orders from the last 90 days. Shopify and Wix orders cannot be sent directly yet.
• Voice reviews. A customer can record a review of up to two minutes; it is transcribed on the server and always waits for your approval.

What Formgong does not do: no direct order emails from Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or BigCommerce, no SMS, no pop-ups, and no Google, Facebook, Yelp or Tripadvisor sync.

Until 31 December 2026: an account that connects reviews gets every paid reviews feature free for 6 months: the AI summary, mood tags, translation and AI moderation. Your reviews and settings stay when the 6 months end.

How to move your reviews from Endorsal

Export from Endorsal

We have not checked Endorsal's export format. Any CSV with a star rating from 1 to 5 and a date imports into Formgong; testimonials without a rating need one first.

Then import it into Formgong

1. Create a free Formgong account, open Reviews and add your site.
2. Open the site's Import / Export tab, choose the file, pick the language of the reviews and press Import. A CSV of your own needs a rating from 1 to 5 and a date; text, name, product, title and reply are optional. Download the CSV template gives the column order.
3. Everything arrives pending, with its original date. Press Publish … imported reviews, or Undo this import.
4. Put the widget on your pages (code below). Reviews show on the page whose data-product matches their product.

One file can hold 5 MB and 5,000 rows, and you can run 20 imports a day, on every plan. Photos, videos and reviewer emails do not come across.

<!-- Shopify: a Custom Liquid section on the product template -->
<div data-formgong-reviews="fk_your_access_key" data-product="{{ product.handle }}"></div>
<script src="https://formgong.com/reviews.js" defer></script>

<!-- Any other site: set data-product to the product handle from your export -->
<div data-formgong-reviews="fk_your_access_key" data-product="blue-teapot"></div>
<script src="https://formgong.com/reviews.js" defer></script>

What Formgong Reviews includes for free

• Unlimited review sites and reviews. Text, photo, video and voice reviews on Free.
• A widget with no view limit. The review widget, carousel, badge and stars in product lists load as often as your pages do.
• Review emails in your store's name. Sent after each order with your logo and colours, replies to you, no email service to set up; buyers can rate inside Gmail without leaving the email, and get one reminder (how it works).
• Bring your old reviews. Import from Judge.me, Yotpo, Loox, Shopify Product Reviews, WooCommerce, Etsy or a CSV.
• You decide what shows. Approve each review or choose a publishing mode, reply in public or in private, and let shoppers ask the author a question.
• Google. A Merchant Center review feed, and product rating markup through the WordPress plugin.
• Reviews from your form. People who filled in your contact form can get a review request automatically.
• One account for the rest. Contact forms with Telegram and Google Sheets, an AI help chat, and free website templates.
