Connect Tilda forms to Formgong

Keep the Tilda form. Paste one URL into Tilda. There is no code, no embed, and no second form.

In Tilda, open Site Settings → Forms → Webhook and paste the URL from Formgong → Platforms → Tilda. Tilda sends that webhook only on a paid plan. On Formgong Free, email goes out on every submission and Telegram is instant.

Set up the webhook

  1. In Formgong, open the form, then Form settings, then Platforms. Choose Tilda and add it. Copy the URL. It looks like https://formgong.com/in/ followed by a token. The URL is shown only once. If you lose it, create a new one. The old URL stops working.
  2. In Tilda, open Site Settings → Forms → Webhook. Paste the URL. Turn on Send cookies if you want UTM tags. Save. Tilda sends a connection test, test=test, and waits for the word ok. Formgong answers ok.
  3. Open each page that has a form. In the form block, open Content, tick Webhook, then Save and close. Publish the page. Tilda does not send leads until the page is published.
  4. Submit the form on the published site. The lead is in the Formgong inbox. Connect Telegram in Form settings if you want an instant message on your phone.

Limits

  • Tilda sends webhooks only on a paid Tilda plan. On Tilda Free, data-capture services, including Webhook, are not available, and custom code in a T123 block or Zero Block is turned off.
  • On Formgong Free, email goes out on every submission, to one address, and Telegram is instant. Instant email from Tilda, and the webhook, need a paid Tilda plan.
  • The Tilda URL is a platform connection, not an outbound webhook. Outbound webhooks (Make, n8n, Slack and the rest) stay at 1 on Free and 5 on Pro and Business. Platform connections are 3 on Free and 10 on Pro and Business.
  • Tilda must get an answer within about 5 seconds, or it retries. Formgong answers ok as soon as the lead is stored. The same lead has one tranid, so a retry does not create a second submission. UTM tags are read from the TILDAUTM cookie when Send cookies is on.

Using Formgong templates on Tilda

  • Plain HTML templates, and the ajax and modal templates, work when you paste them into a T123 block or into Zero Block HTML. Custom code runs only on a paid Tilda plan. On Tilda Free it is off.
  • On Tilda Free, use a link or a button to the hosted form at https://formgong.com/f/ plus your access key. That page cannot be placed in an iframe. Formgong refuses frames.
  • If the form has an allowed-domain list (Pro; an empty list means every site), add the Tilda domain. *.tilda.ws covers a site such as project.tilda.ws. Or add your custom domain. This check applies to a template pasted into the page, because the browser posts it. The webhook URL does not use the list.
  • If the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, add the same hostname in the Turnstile widget settings. Otherwise the check can fail on the Tilda domain.
  • A Tailwind template loses its Tailwind classes on Tilda, because Tilda does not load Tailwind. Use a plain HTML template, or the ajax or modal template.

Troubleshooting

Tilda says the receiver is connected, but no lead arrives

Webhook is not ticked on that form block, or the page was not published again after you ticked it. Check the error log in Tilda's Leads section.

Tilda will not save the URL

The address must be HTTPS and answer within about 5 seconds with ok. A mistyped token, or a token you replaced, answers not_found. Create a new URL in Platforms and paste that one.

The same lead appears twice

Tilda retries when it does not get ok in time. Formgong stores one submission per tranid. A second delivery of the same tranid is ignored.

UTM tags are missing

Turn on Send cookies in Site Settings → Forms → Webhook. Formgong reads utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content from the TILDAUTM cookie.

Nothing works on Tilda Free

The webhook and T123 code do not run on Tilda Free. Put a link or a button to the hosted form on the page instead.

Questions and answers

Does this work on Tilda's free plan?

No. Tilda sends webhooks only on a paid Tilda plan. On Formgong Free, email goes out on every submission and Telegram is instant. A link to the hosted form still works. Pasted HTML does not.

Is this the same as a Formgong webhook to Make or n8n?

No. Here Tilda calls Formgong. Make, n8n, Zapier, Slack and Discord are the other direction: Formgong calls them.

Will Tilda's retries create duplicate leads?

No. Each lead has a tranid. Formgong stores that lead once.

Can I keep Tilda's email, Telegram or Google Sheets as well?

Yes. Tick more than one receiver on the form block. Tilda can send the same lead to several services.

Can I put the hosted form in an iframe on the Tilda page?

No. Use a link or a button. On a paid Tilda plan you can paste a template into a T123 block instead.
