Formgong on WordPress

Install the Formgong plugin, paste the access key, and test the connection. The block and shortcode can use a template. Host mail is not used.

  1. In WordPress open Plugins, Add New, search for "Formgong", click Install Now, then Activate. The directory page is https://wordpress.org/plugins/formgong/. If your site blocks the plugin directory, download https://formgong.com/downloads/formgong-wordpress.zip and upload it in Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin. It is tested on WordPress 7.1 with WooCommerce and the Storefront theme, and Plugin Check passes.
  2. Open Settings, then Formgong. Paste the access key from the dashboard. The key is public: it can submit the form and it cannot read the inbox. Leave the endpoint at https://formgong.com unless you host Formgong yourself. Click Send a test submission. That test uses plugin-test@example.com and does not finish the connect wizard. Submit the public page to finish it.
  3. Add the Formgong block and pick a template in the sidebar, or add the shortcode [formgong template="aula"]. The template attribute accepts any slug in the list below, including lattice, html-contact, nps, and clinic-appointment. Omit it to use the template saved in Settings. The slug plain forces the built-in contact form.
  4. The form includes a hidden field named _page_url with the current page address. Formgong stores that address as the submission page when it is http or https and the host matches the referrer, ignoring a leading www. A cross-origin post often sends only the site home in the referrer, so this field is what records the real page.
  5. Styles are scoped to the form. They use a doubled class and all: revert, so Storefront, Astra, and Twenty Twenty-Five do not restyle the inputs. Skins are plain, lattice, aula, shop, and clinic.
  6. Publish and send a test from the live page. Telegram is instant on every plan, including Free. On the Free plan, every submission is emailed to one address. Pro emails each submission to up to 3 addresses, and Business to up to 5. If the editor says the site does not support the formgong/form block, reload it with the plugin active. If the page looks empty, view the published page: the block renders on the front end. A Custom HTML block can still hold the HTML snippet below. On WordPress.com, form tags in that block need a paid plan with hosting features.

Template slugs

Use the slug as the shortcode template attribute, or pick the same template in the block and under Settings. Website names stay as the brand. Starter and industry names follow the site language in the editor.
