Move your reviews from Judge.me to Formgong

Last updated

Judge.me exports reviews by status, so you export up to three files and import each one. Formgong reads Judge.me's columns as they are.

Steps

  1. In your Judge.me admin, go to Reviews, open the Export drop-down at the top right and choose Export published reviews. Repeat with Export hidden reviews and Export archived reviews if you want those too. Judge.me downloads a small export at once and emails a link for a larger one; the link expires 3 hours after the email.
  2. In Formgong, open Reviews, pick your site and open the Import / Export tab. No review site yet? Get started first.
  3. Under Import reviews, choose the file, pick the Language of these reviews and press Import. Formgong recognises the file from its header row.
  4. Read the result: how many reviews came in, and how many were skipped and why. Everything imported is pending, so nothing is public yet.
  5. Check the reviews on the Reviews tab, then press Publish … imported reviews. Undo this import removes them instead.

What comes across

  • Ratings, text, reviewer names, original dates, titles and your public replies come across. Photos and videos do not.
  • Reviewer emails are not stored, so imported reviews have no edit link.
  • Importing the same file again adds nothing, so you can import a newer export later.
  • Reviews Judge.me marked as spam arrive hidden.
  • Each review keeps its product handle, which matches data-product="{{ product.handle }}" in the Shopify widget.
  • From a WooCommerce store, each review keeps its WooCommerce product ID instead, which the Formgong WordPress plugin uses on product pages.
  • Judge.me's export has no verified status, so imported reviews do not get the Verified buyer label.
