Comparison

Formspree vs Web3Forms

Formgong team ·

Formspree and Web3Forms are both hosted form backends: your HTML form posts to their endpoint and the service emails you each submission. This page compares them on facts from their own public pages. We build Formgong, so we add it as a third column and say so.

Short answer: Web3Forms gives more for free: 250 submissions a month against Formspree's 50, with unlimited forms. Formspree has many more plugins, team features, and Telegram even on Free, and it keeps over-limit submissions instead of refusing them. Pick Web3Forms for volume on a budget; pick Formspree for integrations and teams.

Where Formspree is stronger

  • Integrations. Telegram, Discord and Slack plugins work on Free. Paid plans add Sheets, Airtable, Notion, CRMs, Zapier and webhooks.
  • Teams. An extra team member on Professional, unlimited members on Business, and a rules engine.
  • Nothing is refused at the limit. Over-limit submissions are saved in a separate folder. After an upgrade you can reprocess them, and then the emails and plugins run.
  • Restrict to domain on Free. Web3Forms lists domain restriction as a paid feature.

Where Web3Forms is stronger

  • Five times the free volume. 250 submissions a month against 50, with unlimited forms and domains.
  • Cheaper volume. Pro is $149 a year for 10,000 submissions a month. Formspree Professional is $240 a year for 2,000.
  • A low-cost plan for some groups. Starter costs $49 a year by application, for students, startups and non-profits, with 5,000 submissions and integrations.
  • Simple setup. One access key in a hidden field connects the form.

Who should pick which

  • A personal site or portfolio with modest traffic: Web3Forms. The free plan is larger.
  • Leads that must reach a CRM, Sheets or Slack: Formspree, or Web3Forms Pro.
  • A team or agency: Formspree, for seats and routing rules.
  • Telegram without paying: Formspree, at 50 submissions a month.
  • Thousands of submissions on a small budget: Web3Forms Pro.

Where Formgong fits

Formgong is a free form backend for static and AI-built sites that delivers submissions to Telegram and email, stores data in the EU, and works in 12 languages. Its Free plan has 300 submissions a month with Telegram, and Pro is $9 a month for 5,000.

It is the weaker choice if you need many integrations or team seats. It has email, Telegram and webhooks only, and it is a young service. Full head-to-head pages: Formgong vs Formspree and Formgong vs Web3Forms.
