Website template

Orrery: a free website template for consultants

A dark site for a small consultancy or B2B service firm: home page, services, about, contact, thank-you and 404 pages. The demo firm, Quillmoor Analytics, is fictional.

Short answer: Orrery is free under the MIT license. Download orrery-html.zip, replace fk_your_access_key with your Formgong access key and https://example.com with your address, and upload it to any static host. Or start from the Astro source and set the key in .env.

The demo form is real: it posts to a Formgong demo form. Demo messages are kept for seven days and are not emailed to anyone.

What is inside

  • A living hero: a 3D particle network behind the headline that drifts on its own and moves away from the pointer.
  • Scroll effects: a statement that fills letter by letter, service cards that arrive in a staircase and lock into a grid, a panel that grows from the edge of the screen, orbits that turn beside the process steps.
  • A contact form that tells the truth: success shows only when the server answers success: true; otherwise the visitor sees the error.
  • Calm fallbacks: with reduced motion, no JavaScript or an older browser, every section shows its final state.

Questions

Does the particle network slow the page down?

It is one small canvas script with no library. It draws only while it is on screen and the tab is visible, and it stops completely when the visitor asks for reduced motion.

Can I use Orrery for an agency or a law firm?

Yes. Change the services and the copy; the layout has nothing specific to data consulting except the sample text.
