Orrery: a B2B or management consultancy

Orrery has a home page, a services page, an about page and a contact page, which is the shape most consultancies end up with. The demo firm sells data analytics, but nothing in the layout is tied to that: replace the services with strategy, finance, HR or IT work and the pages still read right. It is the only template on this page that comes as plain HTML and as Astro source. The motion is easy to notice (a particle network behind the headline, service cards that stack as you scroll), so open the demo and picture your most conservative client looking at it. More on the Orrery page.
Quell: an engineering or technical consultancy

Quell is a dark one-page site built around a timeline: eight projects on both sides of a line, each with its year. Structural and civil engineers, building services firms and surveyors get hired for what they have already built, and a timeline shows that faster than a list of services does. The project form asks for project type, place and timing, which is roughly what you need before a first call. It was made for an architect or a structural engineer, so a consultancy with no project photos is better off with Orrery. More on the Quell page.
What clients check on a consultant's site before they write
- Who you help, and with what, in the first screen. "Strategic advisory" tells a visitor nothing. "We cut cloud bills for software companies with 20 to 200 staff" tells them whether to keep reading. Both templates open with one large line, so spend most of your writing time on it.
- Proof. Two or three results you are allowed to name. Quell's timeline is made for this; in Orrery, put them on the services page.
- The people. A client is about to hire a few named people, so show them: names, photos, one line on each person's background. Orrery's about page has room for it.
- How a project starts. First call, proposal, start date. Orrery's process steps fit this exactly.
- What you don't take on. One sentence about the work you turn down saves you and the visitor a call that goes nowhere.
What Formgong adds to the template
- A form that says thanks only when it should. Every form here posts to Formgong and shows success only when the server answers
success: true; anything else shows an error. In our test of 105 forms on AI-built sites, 27 showed "Message sent" and sent nothing (the study). - Messages where you will see them. Each submission is emailed to you as it arrives, on the free plan too, with Telegram alerts if you want them. From there it can go on to Slack, Google Sheets, Notion, Zapier or n8n.
- An AI help chat. One script tag adds a chat that answers visitors from your own pages and passes the conversation to you when it can't (how it works).
- Reviews. Collect star reviews through Formgong, approve them, and show them on the site with the review widget.
- MIT license. The HTML templates are MIT-licensed: use them for yourself or for clients, change anything, drop the footer credit.
How to download and publish it
- Create a free form at formgong.com/new and copy its access key. It starts with fk_ and is public by design.
- Download the template's zip. In every .html file, replace fk_your_access_key with your key; in Orrery, also replace https://example.com with your site address.
- Upload the folder to a static host such as Cloudflare Pages, Netlify or GitHub Pages.
- Send one test message from the live site and check that it arrives.
Tell us what's missing
We add templates one kind of business at a time. If yours isn't covered, or one of these gets something wrong about how your work is bought, write to support@formgong.com and tell us what you'd change. We pick the next templates from what people ask for there.
Questions
Can I use these templates for a client?
Yes. Under the MIT license you can build client sites with them and change whatever you like. Keep the license file in the project.
Do I need to know how to code?
Not to change the words. Names, services and contact details are plain text in the HTML files. Orrery's Astro version is easier to keep up to date if you or your developer already use Astro, because the business details sit in one config file.
Can visitors book a call instead of filling in a form?
The templates ship with a form. If you use a booking tool such as Cal.com or Calendly, put its link next to the form and keep the form for people who would rather write first.
Is there a template for a law or accounting firm?
Not a dedicated one. Orrery works for both once you change the services and the wording.
