How forms work in Carrd
Carrd’s built-in forms cover email and several signup providers. Sending to your own endpoint needs a Custom URL form.
Custom URL forms need Pro Plus or higher (Carrd docs, 05.10.2026). Set Type to Custom → Send to URL, pick AJAX or POST, and point the URL at Formgong.
Set it up in Carrd
- Confirm the site is on Pro Plus or higher.
- Create a Formgong form and copy the access key.
- Add Element → Form → Type Custom → Send to URL. URL:
https://formgong.com/submit. Method: AJAX (JSON or default) or POST. - Add fields with Submitted IDs
name,email,message, plus hidden fields foraccess_key,_langandbotcheck(Hidden type). - Publish, send a test, connect Telegram in Formgong.

Formgong or Carrd’s built-in form?
Keep Carrd’s native email/signup forms when those providers are enough and you are not on Pro Plus.
Use Formgong on Pro Plus when you want Telegram, EU storage and a shared inbox.
Questions and answers
Does this work on free Carrd?
No. Custom URL forms need Pro Plus or higher per Carrd’s documentation.
AJAX or POST?
AJAX keeps the Carrd success/failure UI when Formgong returns 2xx. POST is a full navigation; use _redirect if you choose POST and want a thank-you page.
Can I paste raw HTML instead?
Embed → Code needs Pro Standard or higher for arbitrary embeds. For forms, Carrd’s Custom URL form is the supported path on Pro Plus.
